(Verse 1)

Daddy taught me how to shave, he said, “Son, stay strong.”

Mommy taught me how to love, she said, “Son, be true.”

Brother taught me how to fight, he said, “Son, stay long.”

Daddy always used to say, “Son, the world is yours.”

But the world wasn’t made for me, I was made for it.

And I never, ever want to leave.

(Chorus)

This is my house, this is my home

Where love is found and dreams are grown

This is my house, this is my home

Where forever I will roam

(Verse 2)

Sister taught me how to dance, she said, “Son, feel free.”

Grandma taught me how to cook, she said, “Son, enjoy.”

Friends taught me how to laugh, they said, “Son, be happy.”

Daddy always used to say, “Son, make your own way.”

But the way I chose was back to you, and you and you.

And I never, ever want to leave.

(Chorus)

This is my house, this is my home

Where love is found and dreams are grown

This is my house, this is my home

Where forever I will roam

(Bridge)

And though the years may come and go

And seasons change and winds may blow

One thing will always stay the same

My heart will always call your name

(Chorus)

This is my house, this is my home

Where love is found and dreams are grown

This is my house, this is my home

Where forever I will roam
